Hey folks, I'll get the first thread started on the forums!

The equipment that I use for recording for Slow Recovery is:

Macbook Pro
dual core 2.5 Ghz processor
4G of memory
250G 7200 RPM drive (originally had 5400, didn't cut it!)

Korg Kontrol 49 keyboard for samples and drums
Edirol FA-66 audio device
Audio Technica mic (I have no idea what the model is)

Logic Studio

It works pretty well for me, though when I am trying to listen to songs before I've bounced them down to an audio file and I am doing something else (like browse Revolution9000.com!) I get a system overload. No problems in general though when I am focused.

I used to use Sonar back in the 1/3 days (and before that Pro Audio), but I lost so many songs due to crashed, and I found the interface to be so intrusive I had to get away from the whole PC side of things and go Mac so that I could use Logic, which has an interface that truly just stays out of my way. It is like it isn't even there. The few times that it has crashed it has also saved my file with a (crashed) extension in the name and I've never lost anything at all.

I am new to recording on computers but think it is wonderful! I have a lot to learn about recording and readily admit the process of what happens after the stop button is hit is still largely a mystery to me. Clipping is a problem I am battling with right now!! You have got to start somewhere Right? I am starting here!!
